May the 4th be With You
Learn how a group of teachers from primary to middle school joined forces in order to create a full day event where older students became mentors to younger padawan learners. This STEAM celebration was such a success that it became an annual event at their school. Leave this session full of ideas on how to use Star Wars to enhance the students learning, and to inspire empathy and collaboration. The force WILL be with you.

Create, Reflect, Share: Software in the STEM Classroom
The learning curve to creating production level web pages, podcasts, and lab notebooks, has decreased with recent software. This session will introduce tools available for use in the STEM classroom. We’ll do a review of products from GitHub for organizing and distributing assignments, Jupyter and Markdown for creating electronic lab books, and CoCalc for student mathematical endeavors. All of these products have the capacity to help students engage and organize their discoveries, and for teachers to lead students into the exploratory.
